Welcome

Keystone Dressage is a performance horse stud based near the iconic Great Ocean Road in Victoria, Australia. Our mission is to breed and produce international quality performance horses for Australian and international equestrian enthusiasts. Our aim is to make international quality horses, training and bloodlines accessible to Australian's and New Zealand riders and breeders.

With a passion for breeding and a love for training young horses, Keystone is uniquely focused on carefully selecting breeds and preparing young horses for their future with complete young horse training from foal to competition horse.

The Keystone breeding ethos is informed by careful attention to the rideabilty of our donor mares and the progeny of  international stallions. We "breed to ride" and for this we consider mechanic and trainability equally when selecting stallions for our mares.

Keystone take a holistic approach to breeding and producing horses. Keystone's team focus on producing a "complete young horse". For this, our training starts from when the foal is born. Training is continuous through out the young horses life and focuses on connecting and building on previous lessons. Our training approach looks at teaching ABC's, words, sentences and then paragraphs for the horses so that they can progress with ease through the performance discipline.  All our performance horses continue their training weekly training with regular hack outs and cross disciplines to keep their mind fresh and continually interested. Our hope is to produce happy, healthy horses that love their work and thrive in their future partnerships whether it be amateur or professional, junior or senior.

We welcome you to contact us if you are interested in any of our semen, foals or horses for sale.
