Equador MVL is now one of the most talked-about stallions within the Spanish and Portuguese circles, and is being hailed as one the most powerful stallions in the breed. After many months of preparing for his grand prix debut under João Torrão, and trained by Coralie Baldrey, and in February 2019, they flew for the victory on the Grand Prix at the CDN*** CEIA in Portugal and qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics for Team Portugal! This novice pair keeps surprising everyone with the consistency and correction of their performances.

Equador has had a meteoric start in GP, scoring consistently above +70%, winning Portugal's first ever Dressage FEI Nations CUP (Hickstead) and helping Portugal qualify to the Olympic Games as a team for the first time in its history at the Rotterdam European. In his latest appearance at the FEI World CUP Mechelen he's got his personal best in GP Freestyle with 78,9%.

In March 2020, Equador and rider João Torrão won the GP in Cacais Portugal with 74.978%, setting a new record for Lusitano stallions.

Trained by Coralie Baldrey and Carl Hester, Equador is passing all his qualities to his progeny, producing foals with amazing minds, power and his canter highlight. His 4 y.o son Maestro MVL will start his Dressage career this year. Joao and Equador were winners of the 2019 CDI*** Cascais in their International GP debut and secured a Grand Prix victory with 69.391%, raising the GP Special average to 69.426%. This year they also took third in the Baileys Horse Feeds Grand Prix Special at Hartpury Festival of Dressage CDI3* and in the Hickstead Grand Prix Special and fetched 75.8%. At the 2019 Mechelen GP in Belgium, the duo placed fourth with 72.543%.

With a truly amazing mind and focused attitude towards work, he's an expressive, uphill mover with a strong topline and a world-class canter. This young stallion has been praised by international riders and dressage judges alike, both for his effortless performances and absolute correctness.

Equador consitently remains at the top in competitions on his international small tour appearances, including scoring over 71% to win the Intermediate I freestyle at Lisbon CDI3* in 2017. As a young six-year-old horse, he won the six-year-old classes at Biarritz with scores of over 77%. He was awared title of Elite Stallion and was given this title for his high quality progeny.

Sire Quo-Vadis SS was a gold medallist at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in the driving, which gives son Equador MVL his incredbile power and engine behind. Equador has also inherited the high energy and extensive hind quarter activity of his sire.  Also appearing on this side of the pedigree is Nuno Oliveira's famous high school horse Jabuti.

In the dam line is Que-Há MVL who was an elegant and fine mare, and a daughter of the famous Hostil JGB, who was trained to Grand Prix by Guilherme Borba.

Equador's foals have shown so far to inherite all their sire's qualities; a sweet and easy character, uphill conformation, strong topline and three very good gaits.
